Every morning, women battle with their closets asking them the same question over and over; “What clothing should I wear today?” Women’s clothing can cause quite an uproar to countless women all over the world. Nobody seems to know what to put on when they wake up.
It would be great if we could have a full time maid who came in every morning and picked out our clothing for us. She would obviously pick out all accessories that went with it as well; shoes, hair items, and belts, just to name a few. We would then have plenty of time for our hearty breakfasts, and get to our prospective jobs, school, or whatever it is we have to do; on time. There would be no scattered clothing all over our bedroom floor. We would leave the house dressed and refreshed, without having pulled yesterdays outfit out of the laundry; wiping it profusely as we run.
Sadly, this is not, for most of us, a realistic way of life. Instead, most of us need to battle our closets and find some semblance of order in the mornings. This usually entails trying on at least three or four outfits, if not more, and switching accessories.
Women’s clothing has held this power over society for as long as we can remember. It’s a cycle we need to break. We need to wake up the morning, pick an outfit from our evil closet, put it on, and walk out confidently with a smile on our face. The problem seems to lie in every woman. They have a closet bulging with clothing, and somehow have no clothing to wear. How can we achieve our goal? How can we make the mornings less stressful? The answer to this question is in your closet.
What you need to do now is go through your closet. Take out all your clothing and put in on your bed. Now, you need to sort through every article of clothing you own. This is a tedious job and must be done on a day that you have plenty of time and zero distractions.
The first step is to give away everything that you know you do not want anymore, and moreover that does not fit you. Put aside any sentiments. Forget about the outfit you wore on your first date, or at your engagement party. If it does not fit, it does not fit. There are plenty of needy people out there who can benefit tremendously from your clothing that is too small. There is definitely no need to think you are saving money this way. If, and when, you need clothing of a smaller size, you can always buy new clothes. In the mean time this is just taking up space in your closet, and time from your morning. It is distracting, and gets in the way when you are looking at your other options.
The next step is to see what you have left. Now that you got rid of what is too small, and what you do not like, there should be a handful of options. A bunch of sweaters, a few pairs of slacks and skirts, etc. Now you can pick out certain ones that you can really see yourself wearing, and mix and match to make yourself quite a few different outfits. Then, and only then, can you fill in the blanks; whatever you feel is missing. Then you can go out and get yourself a few new outfits. You should buy practical things that you can wear over and over again. You should buy things that you can wear a few times in a row, changing it up a bit each time. You will start to feel a sense of relief when you wake up in the morning, instead of dread.
Getting dressed in the morning does not have to be stressful. It does not have to be a fight with your closet. In fact, if you follow these steps, you can refresh yourself and your wardrobe. You now have a legitimate excuse to go shopping for clothing. Once you are all set with getting out the old, and bringing in the new, you will feel like a new person. You will be able to get dressed in the morning in a relaxed fashion; until the clothes start piling up and become too small or boring for you. Then, you have to start all over again.
